what is CNC

Most common reasons this happens

One (or more) of these is almost certainly true:

  1. Wrong email password saved in your website settings

  2. The email account (info@yourdomain.com) doesn’t exist

  3. The email provider requires an app password, not the normal password

  4. SMTP settings are incorrect (server, port, encryption)

  5. Hosting provider blocked SMTP access

  6. Email provider doesn’t allow LOGIN/PLAIN authentication without extra setup

Why showing this to customers is a bad idea

From a user’s point of view:

  • It looks scary

  • It looks broken

  • It reduces trust

  • They won’t know if their message reached you (it didn’t)

Instead, customers should see something like:

“Sorry, your message could not be sent right now. Please try again later or contact us directly.”
